Meet the Designer & Maker

I’m Gurtan Sert — the designer and maker behind Gumi Works. From a young age, I was drawn to creating — exploring materials, shaping forms, and bringing ideas to life. That passion led me through a path of studying mechanics, working in site engineering, and later earning a degree in visual arts and graphic design. Gumi Works is where these worlds meet — where craftsmanship, technical know-how, and artistic vision converge in concrete.

Designed to Last, Made to Be Experienced

What began with experiments in a modest workshop has grown into a small but trusted London-based concrete studio. Today, Gumi Works specialises in bespoke concrete furniture, decor, and one-off commissions for residential and commercial spaces. We shape every piece by hand using artisan techniques, balancing function with sculptural form.

To us, concrete is more than a material — it’s a medium for storytelling. Whether it’s a terrazzo dining table, a curved basin, or a firepit, each design carries intention, texture, and a sense of place.
