Bespoke Concrete Furniture for Architects, Designers & Private Clients

Gumi Works is a London-based artisan studio designing and fabricating bespoke concrete furniture and architectural surfaces. Each piece is hand-cast using Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC). As a result, the material allows sculptural forms, refined proportions and exceptional durability. We design and fabricate concrete dining tables, sculptural coffee tables, sink & basins, reception desks, outdoor kitchens and fire pits. In addition, every commission balances architectural clarity with material tactility. We collaborate closely with architects and interior designers from concept through fabrication. Meanwhile, private clients work directly with the studio to develop custom pieces tailored to their space. This process includes CAD development, concrete colour consultation and technical specification for residential, hospitality and commercial environments.

Performance Engineering: Slim Profiles & Massive Spans

All surfaces from our Bespoke Concrete Studio in London are treated with professional-grade, food-safe sealers. Therefore, dining and hospitality tables resist wine, citrus oils and everyday staining.Because UHPC is dense and low in porosity, it performs exceptionally well in both interior and exterior settings. Ultimately, the result combines the visual permanence of stone with the resilience of contemporary engineering.

Concrete Colours, Terrazzo & Artisan Finishes

Our studio has developed a palette of over twenty custom concrete colours. These range from warm mineral tones to contemporary architectural greys.

Clients can also specify bespoke colour, terrazzo aggregates, marble-effect veining or textured finishes. As a result, each piece can respond to the wider material language of the interior or landscape.

Solid pigmented concrete is particularly suited to minimalist spaces that prioritise monolithic material expression, meanwhile, terrazzo and veined finishes introduce more subtle visual movements. You may explore our full range of Colours and Finishes to find the perfect palette for your project.

Case Study: A Sculptural Concrete Table with Integrated Planter - FoundryFit | Moorgate - London

Large multi-angled unique GFRC boardroom island bar table with integrated preserved moss planter, Moorgate London.

The Collaboration

This marked a second commission for FoundryFit, developed in partnership with Cocobolo House. Building on an established working relationship, the brief called for a bar-height communal table featuring Gumi Works’ signature irregular edge profiles and a centrally integrated planter with a 200cm radius. From the outset, the intention was to create a sculptural yet highly functional gathering point within the space.

The Challenge

The primary challenge lay in resolving a complex, faceted polygonal geometry while maintaining structural stability. At the same time, the design needed to achieve a slim, “visual tension” aesthetic — appearing lightweight despite its substantial material presence. Therefore, careful engineering and proportion control were essential to balance expression with performance.

The Process

To ensure accuracy early in development, conceptual sketches were transitioned into a detailed 3D digital model. This allowed UHPC thickness tolerances and planter volume to be verified before fabrication began. Once structural integrity was confirmed, the piece was hand-cast using internally reinforced Ultra-High Performance Concrete. It was then finished with an architectural-grade sealer to guarantee resilience within a high-traffic gym environment.

The Outcome

As a result, the finished table became a high-impact, stain-resistant commercial furniture piece and a functional focal point within the interior. Moreover, it demonstrates the adaptability of bespoke concrete in a branded commercial setting — combining sculptural form, engineered performance, and everyday durability.
