Case Study: A Sculptural Concrete Table with Integrated Planter - FoundryFit | Moorgate - London

The Collaboration:  A second commission for FoundryFit, designed in partnership with Cocobolo House. The brief called for a bar-height communal table featuring GumiWorks’ signature irregular edge profiles and a central integrated planter at 200cm radius.

The Challenge:  To resolve a complex, faceted polygonal geometry that maintained structural stability while achieving a slim, “visual tension” aesthetic.

The Process: > I transitioned conceptual sketches into a 3D digital model to verify UHPC thickness tolerances and planter volume. The final piece was hand-cast using internally reinforced Ultra-High Performance Concrete and finished with an architectural-grade seal to ensure resilience in a high-traffic gym environment

The Outcome: > A high-impact, stain-resistant commercial furniture,  functional focal point that demonstrates the versatility of bespoke concrete in a branded commercial space.
