The Rounded Rectangular Concrete Dining Table with Double Sculptural Pedestal Base reinterprets architectural concrete furniture through softness and flow. This rounded rectangular concrete dining table features gently curved corners and softened edges throughout, from the tabletop to the pedestal bases. The sculptural bases widen toward the floor, yet every edge carries a subtle radius. As a result, the table feels grounded yet fluid, bold yet welcoming.

This bespoke concrete dining table suits Soft Modern, Japandi, and Soft Minimalist interiors where calm geometry and natural materials define the atmosphere. It complements Scandinavian Modern spaces, Organic Modern homes, and Wabi‑inspired contemporary settings that favour warmth over severity. Designers can also place it within Quiet Luxury residences, Contemporary Mediterranean interiors, and biophilic schemes that balance stone, timber, limewash, and natural light. The softened rectangular form encourages connection while maintaining clear spatial order in open‑plan kitchens, dining rooms, and refined hospitality spaces.

We make each table to order in the UK using high-performance, solid-cast concrete. Also, hand-finish surfaces to achieve smooth transitions and tactile depth. We apply a professional-grade sealer that protects against stains, moisture, and daily wear while preserving the organic character of the material. Suitable for residential, commercial, and outdoor environments, this concrete dining table delivers long-term durability with a sculptural presence.

Gumi Works offers a spectrum of hand-crafted surface expressions designed to elevate the tactile experience of high-performance concrete. Our standard collection includes:

Refined Textures: Choose from a Smooth Architectural Matte for a raw, minimalist feel, a Lightly Honed Texture for subtle depth, or a Polished Satin for a sophisticated, low-sheen glow.

Terrazzo & Aggregates: Our Solid Polished finishes can be upgraded to a Bespoke Terrazzo, incorporating curated stone aggregates for a mid-century or contemporary play on light and shadow.

Artisanal Veining: For a timeless aesthetic, our Marble-Effect Veining creates a natural, authentic look, mimicking the organic movement of stone while retaining the strength of GFRC.

Hybrid Luxury: Our exclusive Metal-Concrete Blends fuse metallic elements with concrete for a high-end, industrial-luxe statement.

All finishes are sealed with our Penetrating Reactive Sealer, ensuring a breathable, stain-resistant surface that maintains its integrity in both residential and commercial high-traffic environments.

Handcrafted using High-Performance GFRC Concrete (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete). This advanced composite offers superior flexural strength and durability compared to traditional concrete. We utilise a Low-Carbon, Silicate-Free cementitious matrix, sustainable sand aggregates, and a Penetrating Reactive Sealer system to ensure a luxury finish that ages gracefully while maintaining structural integrity.

Gumi Works products are engineered for longevity and are inherently low-maintenance due to our High-Performance GFRC and Penetrating Reactive Sealer.

Daily Care: For routine cleaning, simply use a soft cloth with mild soapy water. Always dry the surface afterwards with a clean microfiber towel to prevent water spotting. Avoid the use of abrasive scrubbers or aggressive chemical cleaners (such as bleach), which can wear down the protective seal over time.

Seasonal Protection: To maintain the deep luster and tactile smoothness of the finish, we recommend quarterly waxing the surface. This adds an extra sacrificial layer of protection against daily wear.

Full Guide: A comprehensive care and maintenance guide will be provided upon delivery to ensure your piece ages beautifully for decades.

For immediate answers regarding concrete surfaces, visit our Frequently Asked Questions.

How do I prevent stains from wine, oil, or water on a concrete table?

To protect the surface, we use a high-performance, food-safe penetrative sealer. Unlike topical plastic coatings that can peel or scratch, our finish works from within the material. For daily maintenance, simply wipe spills immediately with a damp cloth and use pH-neutral soap.

Is a concrete dining table too heavy for a standard apartment floor?

No. By using Ultra High-Performance Concrete (UHPC), we can create thinner, more sculptural forms that provide immense strength without the excessive weight of traditional solid-cast concrete. Our tables are engineered to be compatible with standard residential and commercial flooring.

What is the difference between solid concrete and microcement?

Gumi Works pieces are crafted from authentic, solid concrete. Many “concrete” tables on the market are actually made of wood or MDF with a thin “microcement” coating. Our solid UHPC construction ensures a superior lifespan, a more tactile feel, and true architectural integrity.

How does concrete compare to marble or granite for dining?

While stone slabs are beautiful, they are limited to flat or basic shapes. Concrete allows us to create fluid, sculptural geometries (like our Monolith or Astroid bases) that are impossible to achieve with natural stone. Additionally, we offer 20+ custom colors to perfectly match your interior palette.

Is the sealer food-safe and non-toxic?

Yes. Health and safety are paramount in our North London studio. We use VOC-free, non-toxic, and certified food-safe sealers on all our dining surfaces, ensuring a safe environment for your family and guests.

Can this be used indoors and outdoors?

Yes. Our pigments are UV-stable and our UHPC mix is weather-resistant. The Monolith can transition seamlessly from a modern dining room to an architectural terrace.

What is the typical lead time?

As each piece is handcrafted in our North London studio, lead times typically range from 6–8 weeks. This allows for the precise casting and necessary curing time required for artisan concrete.

Can I order a bespoke concrete commission?

Absolutely. We specialize in custom concrete design and fabrication for unique architectural projects. To ensure total clarity before we cast, we can translate your initial sketches into stunning 3D CAD renders. This allows you to visualize the exact geometry, color fusion, and texture of your finished piece within your space before production begins.
