Delivery & Logistics
Overview
Every concrete design at Gumi Works is an authentic, solid-cast creation made of high-performance concrete, manually cast within our North London studio. Because authentic solid concrete is a premium, high-mass structural material, our distribution logistics are carefully broken down by product type to ensure safe, secure transit. We separate our logistics into Ready-to-Buy (RTB) small-batch products and Made-to-Order (MTO) custom pieces.
1. Delivery and Logistics for Ready-To-Buy (RTB) Products
*Standard retail products with Add To Cart checkout option.
(Standard Sinks, Basins, and Small-Sized Goods)
All standard retail items are shipped using tracked, premium parcel networks or specialized pallet distributors.
Shipping Zones & Fixed Rates
UK Mainland: Free Delivery
Europe (£45 Flat Rate): Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain.
EU – Republic of Ireland: £65 Flat Rate
Rest of the World: Shipping is not calculated at checkout. If your country isn’t listed at checkout -Please contact us for an insured, bespoke international shipping quote.
Important Shipping Exclusions: Our European flat rates strictly apply to mainland addresses. Non-EU European nations, overseas territories, and remote islands (such as the Canary Islands or the Azores) are excluded from flat rates due to customs documentation costs and complex sea-freight surcharges.
Delivery Method: Strict Curb-Side Fulfillment
All RTB items (including basins and sinks arriving via courier networks or heavy pallet freight) are limited to Curb-Side Delivery.
The courier is contracted to deliver the crate or parcel to the nearest kerb, driveway, or accessible building entrance point of the specified address.
Drivers are fully uninsured to transport items inside your home, navigate staircases, or assist with unpacking, uncrating, and installation placement.
Please ensure you have adequate, able-bodied assistance on-site to safely lift and accept your solid concrete piece upon arrival.
2. Delivery and Logistics for Made-To-Order (MTO) Products
*Products with Enquiry-Only option.
(Bespoke Furniture, Tables, Fire-Tables, Outdoor Kitchen etc)
UK Deliveries: Due to the extreme weight and high-value nature of our bespoke dining tables, large furniture orders are handled via our specialized White-Glove Delivery & Installation service to guarantee correct structural alignment. Smaller or specific smaller-sized MTO models may occasionally be dispatched via secure, custom-crated pallet freight for curb-side delivery.
International Shipments: Shipped worldwide using premium ocean or air freight crating as a curb-side delivery. Global MTO transport costs are calculated individually based on final project destination.
🛑 The 24-Hour Inspection & Transit Damage Protocol
Regardless of whether your order is a standard retail basin or a custom architectural table, it leaves our studio fully covered by transit insurance under the following strict conditions:
Upon signing for your delivery, you must unpack and thoroughly inspect the concrete surfaces immediately within 24 hours.
In the rare event of transit-induced structural cracking, chips, or order discrepancies, you must notify Gumi Works via email with clear photographic evidence of both the damaged product and its outer packaging within this 24-hour window. Reports made after 24 hours are legally classified as on-site accidental trade damage or handling issues and cannot be covered under our transit insurance policies.
Do not schedule plumbing or installation trades until you have fully inspected and approved your item.
